Romania’s first private biobank is being set up in Sfântu Gheorghe – as reported by Maszol.ro

The EUR 3 million Biobank.ro project, created through the collaboration of the IT and research company Egnosis and the Pro Vitam clinic, will be not only Romania’s first private biobank but also a new health data and sample management centre for Central and Eastern Europe. Its aim is to collect and store biological samples ethically, and to open new horizons for medical research, particularly the study of autoimmune and rare diseases. – Maszol.ro
