During an abdominal ultrasound examination, we primarily assess the solid organs of the abdominal cavity and pelvis, as well as fluid-filled hollow organs. The examination makes it possible to determine the size and structure of individual organs and to detect symptomatic or asymptomatic abnormalities, such as inflammations, stones, tumors, metastatic disease, fluid or pus collections in the abdominal cavity, and hidden internal bleeding.

With abdominal ultrasound, the following organs can be examined, among others:
