We are delighted to welcome Dr. Bogdan Moldovan, Chief Surgeon, Doctor of Medical Sciences (UMF Târgu Mureș), to our team. Since the founding of Sf. Constantin Hospital in Brașov in 2011, he has served as Head of the General Surgery Department, while also coordinating the hospital’s “Professor Gilles Mentha” Kidney Transplant Center. Throughout his distinguished medical career, Dr. Moldovan has performed more than 13,000 surgical procedures since 2011, and his name is associated with numerous pioneering interventions both nationally and across Eastern Europe. These include RAKT robotic-assisted kidney transplantation, as well as the treatment of limb sarcomas using the ILP (Isolated Limb Perfusion) technique.

Dr. Moldovan also has extensive expertise in bariatric surgery, having performed over 1,200 bariatric procedures to date, including several interventions introduced for the first time in Romania. These include Sleeve LESS surgery (a single-incision, highly aesthetic approach), Da Vinci bypass, Da Vinci sleeve, and the SADI-S Da Vinci procedure. In recent months, two further national robotic surgery premieres have also been linked to his work: a Heller–Toupet procedure for cardia achalasia performed on a 13-year-old pediatric patient, as well as a robotic HIPEC surgery for gastric cancer.
